Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new HVAC products and improve existing designs using Solid Edge.
- Good experience in HVAC refrigeration piping system design, Pipe routing and tube routing using solidedge Xpress Route.
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for sheet metal and mechanical components.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards (ASHRAE, AMCA, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sales, and quality assurance to support product development and launch.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation of HVAC components and systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects.
- Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide technical support to production and customers.
- Ensure designs comply with safety regulations, codes, and company standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in HVAC refrigeration system design.
- Proficiency in Solid Edge for Piping design ( pipe routing and tube routing using Xpress Route), modelling, assembly, and drafting.
- Experience with sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles and industry standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering change control processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
