Requirements:

Requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering followed by five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive experience in the related occupation of Engineer, Technical Lead, Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Assistant Manager or equivalent utilizing tools such as CATIA V5, AutoCAD, SmarTeam, CATIA EHI, Capital Harness XC, and Capital Harness Logic.

Travel or relocation possible to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Design customized interior monuments for Business Class Aircrafts in compliance with 14CFR Part25.
• Work on aircraft materials and process specifications related to interior design.
• Responsible for detail design of sheet metal, machined and, composite components.
• Responsible for Cabinet design, installation related to system design, Interface control with major structural work packages.
• Electrical harness routing and installation within various interior monuments and across Aircraft cabin.
• Harness flattening and ability to understand Electrical logic diagram for various monuments.
• Create drawings for detail parts, assemblies and installations of various Aircraft interior monuments. Understand and implement tolerance, GD&T and ASME requirements on drawings.
• Address production issues related to design, manufacturing, assembly and subsequently revise parts design and installations through Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
• Prepare delivery schedules based on priority and share the details/progress with project manager on regular basis.
• Direct the team in understanding design methodologies, material and process specifications.
• Interact with respective domain experts for design review and coordinate with cross functional departments.
• Identify and respond to root causes on production issues and implement corrective actions for deviations and issue closure based on effectiveness.
• Understand different phases of Aircraft development and interior design cycle.
• Travel and relocation possible to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.
