Roles & Responsibilities:
- As a Sr. Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer, plays a key role in the delivery of high-quality mechanical design solutions across building services projects including commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical data centers. Operating under limited supervision, taking ownership of defined project tasks and leading projects from concept through to completion.
- Take ownership of defined Mechanical design packages and manage mid-to-large projects independently.
- Preparation of project schedule & effort estimation
- Lead or support Mechanical design tasks, including Heat & Colling load calculations, equipment selection, schematics, layouts and schedules.
- Prepare, maintain and organize the project design files like Design Basis Report, Specifications, Calculations reports, ensuring adherence to company standards and documentation practices.
- Mechanical design with BIM Project management, as well as MEP Coordination duties that include checking & reviewing of all delivery submissions, Team supervision, etc.
- Complete HVAC Design work includes Heat & Cooling load calculations, Equipment selection, Energy Compliance, critical and non-critical areas services layout as per Data center standards, Heating, ventilation and air conditioning system —Include rooftop units and distributed units that provide localized air cooling. Underfloor distribution of air can be an effective means of distributing air evenly throughout a raised floor area etc.,
- Provide technical verification and QA checks during design stages, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Proficient Data Center Classifications, PUE Calculations, UP Time, TIA 942, ASHRAE, FM200, EN, NFPA and SMACNA standard.
- Preparation of Technical specifications, Bill of quantity, Cost Estimation and compliance statements.
- Strong expertise on standardization of BIM production workflow with better quality control processes.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and BIM teams to resolve issues and maintain cross-functional alignment.
- Ensure timely delivery of work amidst changing project demands and strict timelines.
- Self-motivated talent management characteristics with problem solving skills balancing cost and risk.
- Strong skills interacting with clients’ on-site and managing deliverables to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Efficient communication skills with good presentation, negotiation and relationship characteristics.
- Creating and enforcing project quality plan.
- Consistently produce high quality of work.
- Familiar with discipline specific design software and design management systems.
- Proficient in Data Center Design in Europe & USA.
