Roles & Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Rail Engineering or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in spare parts data management or configuration engineering, preferably in rail or transportation sector.
- Hands-on experience with PLM systems – especially SmartTeam or similar tools (e.g., Enovia, Windchill, Teamcenter).
- Understanding of BOM structures, technical drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Familiarity with railway systems, rolling stock components, and maintenance documentation is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret vendor documents, part lists, BOMs, and technical drawings related to rolling stock components.
- Identify and classify components, consumables, and assemblies relevant to spare parts management.
- Create and manage metadata for parts and assemblies in PLM environment.
- Assign correct material codes, supplier details, part categories, and revision statuses.
- Ensure traceability, consistency, and compliance with rail industry and customer-specific standards.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and maintenance teams to clarify part definitions and sourcing options.
- Maintain data integrity by following naming conventions, version control, and change management procedures.
- Flag discrepancies or missing information in vendor documentation and coordinate with internal stakeholders for resolution.
