Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fire protection systems including sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, and hydrants for various building types.
- Create Shop drawings and fabrication drawings according to site requirements and US customer standards.
- Prepare detailed fire suppression system drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or any other firefighting design software
- Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure proper sizing of pipes, pumps, and storage tanks.
- Interpret and apply NFPA, IBC, IFC, and state/local fire codes to design solutions.
- Expert in material take-offs, cost estimation, and project submittals.
- 10+ years of experience as a Fire Protection / Firefighting Designer working with contractors in the U.S.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, NFPA 72, IBC, and local fire codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other fire protection design tools.
- Experience with hydraulic calculation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills for coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in fire alarm system coordination is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with fire protection contractors in the U.S. construction industry.
- Familiarity with design-build projects and fast-track construction schedules.
- Prior experience in data centers, hospitals, high-rise buildings, warehouses, or industrial facilities.
