Proficient in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) to develop and deliver high-quality piping design models and deliverables for multidisciplinary industrial projects in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemicals, Power, Water Treatment, and Industrial Manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, and other relevant piping codes and standards.
Hands-on experience in:
SP3D module setup and configuration
Pipe routing, equipment modeling, pipe supports
Isometric and GA drawing extraction
Clash detection and resolution
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment layouts.
Familiarity with piping materials, valve types, and typical industrial plant components.
Experience in skid-based modular piping design (desirable).
Working knowledge of SmartPlant Review, SPR, Navisworks, or PDMS/E3D is a plus.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Participate in 3D model reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) and incorporate review comments.
Coordinate with process, stress, and layout engineers to finalize pipe routing and support requirements.
Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with client specifications, international codes, and industry standards.
Perform clash detection and resolve issues using SP3D and SmartPlant Review (SPR) or Navisworks.
Assist in extracting and checking Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Collaborate closely with Lead Designers and Engineers for design optimization and schedule adherence.
10+ years of experience in project management within the engineering, oil and gas, chemical, or power sectors.
Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects, with a track record of successful delivery.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision- making abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
Manage and oversee project-based or task-based activities for designated client accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
Coordinate with internal engineering teams, stakeholders, and clients to define project requirements and deliverables.
Monitor project progress and performance, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Foster strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact for project-related communications.
Prepare and present project status reports, including progress updates, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
Lead project meetings, including kick-off, status, and review meetings, with clients and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend strategies to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
Mentor and guide junior project team members, providing support and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
