The client is a North American company in the corporate aviation business, known for world-class product development for Aerospace Industry. The client specializes Aircraft interior inserts, tooling, monuments, seating for all classes and sizes of Aircraft OEMs including Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream etc.

Scope / Challenge:
The scope of the project involved re-engineering of aircraft tooling by developing concept to detailed design of tooling for Air stairs as per customer provided layouts/physical tools, standard process and specifications. The design had to be carried out with data captured from the existing parts and develop tools to minimize cost of tooling and quick assembly time.
Solution:
The TAAL Tech team started the project with a thorough input study and analysis of customer requirements. The team carried out the measurements of actual parts and developed the concept in CATIA V5 and submitted the same for customer evaluation. Upon receipt of the approval the detailing was carried out per the standards, guidelines and libraries available with the client. The main tooling consists of individual part manufacturing tools, sub assembly and assembly tools with manufacturing drawings creation, process and assembly documentation. Deliverables includes 3D models, manufacturing drawings with Self, Peer & Final QC.
