MEP Modelling for Hospital Project
About our Client:
The customer is a North American Mechanical Contracting & Services company that has been providing life safety and comfort services to the commercial, industrial, residential, and institutional markets for five decades. The primary services include HVAC Installation, HVAC Service, Maintenance, and Inspections, Plumbing Installation and Services.
Scope / Challenge:
The scope of the work involved development of FAB MEP Equipment Models, Equipment selection, Mechanical Services, Electrical Services, PHE Services, Spatial Coordination’s, Producing Shop drawings. The scope also involved coordinating with other services for feedback and approvals.
Solution:
The team studied the architecture and structural drawings along with MEP design drawings as well as the client’s standards Post study the team starting modelling the various mechanical, plumbing and electricals using FAB MEP for each of the floors of the hospital. The team had to coordinate each of the MEP disciplines along with the structural and architectural teams at the client’s location. The models were shared with customers and upon receipt of the approval, the team produced the shop drawings with all the construction details so that the same can be used for installation purpose as well.
Result:
The customer was able to expedite his construction activities due to quick ramp-up and support from the TAAL Tech team. The quality of the output generated by TAAL Tech was such that there was no need for any additional modifications during the installation stage.
