About our Client:
The client is a North American company in the corporate aviation business, known for world-class engine maintenance and VIP completions. The client specializes in the outfitting and modification, maintenance, refurbishment and green completions of VIP and Business Jets in the Boeing BBJ and Airbus ACJ family.
Scope / Challenge:
The scope of the project involved developing concept to detailed design of Galleys & Closets as per customer provided layout, standard process and specifications. The design had to be carried out without any interference of Electrical and Plumbing installation. The cabinets had also to meet certain weight reduction targets.
Solution:
The TAAL Tech team started the project with a thorough input study and analysis of customer requirements. The team developed the concept in
CATIA V5 and submitted the same for customer evaluation. Upon receipt of the approval the detailed design was produced abiding by the standards, guidelines and libraries shared by client. The main components handled were creation of bonded assembly, structure assembly, placard installation, electrical and plumbing Installation. Thorough assembly interference checks and gap analysis was carried out before submitting the same to customer for approval. Upon receipt of approval the team generated the required manufacturing drawings creation.
Result:
The TAAL Tech team was able to quickly turn around the complete project due to prolific experience in carrying out similar cabinets for a range of aero customers. The FAA experience possessed by the team ensured design met the certification requirements thereby reducing approval time.
