About our Client:
The customer is a North American design/build, specialty contractor of electrical and low voltage systems. Their portfolio includes commercial, life-science, high tech, data center, healthcare, institutional, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, site development, residential, renewable energy and energy audit/efficiency projects.
Scope / Challenge:
The scope of the project involved Modeling of conduit, Pre-Fab Drawings in Autodesk Revit followed by creation of shop drawings in AutoCAD for electrical room of a commercial building. The scope also involved generation of Bill of Quantities for Rack and J Hangers along with coordinating of other services for feedback and approvals.
Solution:
The TAAL Tech team studied the architectural and structural drawings along with Electrical design drawings as well as the client’s standards. Post study the team started modelling the various Electrical and ELV systems using REVIT for each floor of the building. The team had to coordinate each of the MEP disciplines along with the structural and architectural teams at the client’s location. The models were shared with customers and upon receipt of the approval, the team produced the shop drawings with all the construction details along with the Bill of Quantity of the all Electrical items so that the same could be used for installation purpose.
Result:
The customer was able to expedite his construction activities due to quick ramp-up and support from the TAAL Tech team. The quality of the output generated by TAAL Tech was such that there was no need for any additional modifications during the installation stage.
